  1. Global warming is an alternative. A bit less exciting though.
  2. Get the Danish ones if that's all you will be getting. It normally in a blue tin, and says something like Danish sugar (or butter) cookies. They are the best
  3. I'm wondering how this compares with you reading scripture in the temple. For you does there seem to be any difference? While temple ritual touches on many of the ways people learn (Far more than Sunday school classes) Reading would be one of the weaker learning aspects in this situation. (I'm talking about methods of learning such as reading, seeing, hearing, doing etc...)
  4. M'kay I can't tell you how much that word bugs me. To the point I cringe while typing it...
  5. Wishing you the best :) try and stay strong, and if you break down, it's okay. Your father in heaven loves you.
  6. Be sure you tell your lawyer about her relationship, if it gets ugly (which is sounds like it might) it can affect the proceedings and help prevent you from getting steamrolled, and the bad end of the deal (which is typical for men). Take a deep breath, don't do anything that ultimately is likely to hurt your kids.
  7. I discovered someone had photoshoped an image today, after they pointed it out while claiming it was an unintended effect, using it as a subtle manipulation to further a romance. (A romance that seemed to be doing fine without it anyways) The lying really irritates me. I don't think that is what this thread is about though.
  8. I'm too sly to fall for this wishing business, I know how that Almost Always Seems to Turn out bad with unintended consequences.
  9. It is important to note that pleasure is not inherently bad. It is bad when it gratifies the flesh, but harms the spirit. Just gratifying the flesh without affecting the spirit probably Isn't bad either, but it is best when we strive for those things that uplifted both body and spirit.
  10. I think there are other factors than religion that seem to have a greater influence on the offense people take.
  11. How old? (Older can be harder to find) How often do you find yourself needing an odd cord out? Are you willing to spend the time to go find and buy a new cord if you need it? Are you talking power cords, or other cords (like for TV, computers, printers etc....) Power cords may be easier to find and buy. You might be able to sell them online, but you likely won't make much. Some cords sell for less than the cost to ship! If you are going to sell them online, you should probably know what they are first for the description.
  12. I just don't care, so I don't unfriend. Though there are a few people who I find uncomfortable having on my FB, such as terrorist sympathizers, gangsters, right wing political nuts, left wing political nuts, the druggie, etc... and certainly all those snoopy family members xD.
  13. Oh boy, I guess I really have been brain washed. (tongue in cheek)
  14. I think in part we should be concerned, especially for the loudest of christians that often seem lacking in charity(radical groups), which contribute to those who oppose people of faith painting us all with a broad brush as all the same.
  15. Yeah, a conservative. Conservatives are too enamored by their philosophies of men to listen to the holy ghost. Does stuck in their ways ring a bell? [You see how that works? I can play the blame game too. (Before I get accusations, I don't actually identify as an american Liberal either)]
  16. While this is good advice, you'll still end up with debt using this method if you are a 'young person' attending college, assuming you can even get a job. Despite what I constantly hear, jobs for young people are not forth coming, and the ones that are(if you can get one)..., can't pay for college. Without college it is a reasonable way to get out of debt. assuming someone gets $4000 a month, lives with their parents rent and food free it would take 3 months to pay off the debt.
  17. Wow. Old crotchety people are really whiny. Especially about younger generations ;P
  18. Try and treat the root cause rather than patch up the symptoms. Though I think the root cause can depend on the person, and it isn't always easy to identify. A good social support system (family, friends) is a good start, especially for those in abusive situations.
  19. That stuff is great for making voodoo dolls y'know! Oh wait....Babylon...sorceries...
  20. It's not the frustration that gets to me, leaving a frustrating conversation can be right. This does go to show some big differences in communication.
  21. How DARE they present opposing view points in such a video in such a manner!
