I always find it interesting that someone will ask for opinions, KNOWING that there will be those who completely disagree, but feel the need to place a statement like this with that request for opinions.  Same with the title of the thread "NO HATE."  This very strongly suggests that any differing opinion is hate.  I always think if you don't want someone's opinion, don't ask.  If you ask for an opinion, you don't get to put qualifiers on the responses.

Greeting fellow forum members.  I have been absent for a few days.  A couple of weeks ago I noticed a distortion in my vision (left eye).  The result was surgery to save my left eye (macula and retina damage).  As I recover I can only see with my right eye but things should improve over the next few weeks as a gas bubble dissipates.  The worst part is no skiing – this is the best snow of the year.  Also no traveling – the wife will have to make a couple of trips on her own.  The eye drops are also difficult for me.  Up until this – I had near perfect eyesight - requiring reading glasses as I got older.  I had 20 25 vision (which is excellent for someone my age).  We will see how things go from here.   (Pun intended)
The interesting thing about the recovery is that I must keep my head down and avoid looking up.  Gives a whole new perspective on life – those with head that hang down.  I even have to drink from a straw.  The good part is that the wife has to put all the dishes away.  Thanks

Just curious? I am talking about doing this for a few years not weeks.
I have just found out that I will have to work on Sunday's from now on. I am thinking about just using my lunch hour at 9am to attend a ward close to my office.
I live 40 miles from work so attending my home ward using my lunch hour won't work.
I can't quit my job and seek new employment do to a very serious health issue but I really want to feel the spirit and partake of sacrament each week.
Any else ever have to do something similiar or have other thoughts or advice?

Just watched this movie. It was very intense. I recommend it.

OK, now I feel completely comfortable saying someone's a complete idiot.

So part of the fluff in Warhammer 40K is that characters of some cultures wear furs in the same was as ancient Earth civilizations did.  It offers a sort of barbaric character to a futuristic, high tech setting.  There's no fur trade in the game or anything like that.  It's all aesthetic.

My friend and longtime fellow Warhammer 40,000 player and I were mocking this like crazy today. 
This is why people have a hard time taking PETA seriously.  They're spending time and energy to complain about a fictional setting where fictional people wear animal pelts made, in many cases, from fictional creatures.  To really put it over the top they say this:
Anybody who's spent more than five minutes with the Warhammer setting knows how utterly absurd that statement is.  In a universe where demons wait to consume souls by the millions, where entire worlds are exterminated to eliminate the taint of chaos, in a grim dark future where there's only war and the laughter of thirsting "gods" these people believe that the evil of animal furs is beyond these things.
Of course they don't literally mean it at face value, but hyperbole based on ignorance and appeals to emotion are not helping.

PETA's UK branch has just sent a letter to tabletop game manufacturer Games Workshop asking that the company quit including fur clothing and accessories in the designs of their various fictional characters, as they believe it promotes the use of fur in fashion. 
Given the kinds of people who *play* GW's games, I'm expecting a fair bit of trolling to come any minute now.
