5.7 the reports are saying. I don't know how many of you live in SLC county, are you doing all right? It was enough to rattle all my bookshelves all the way down here in Orem.

I just looked up the news.  It appears that there have been several aftershocks, several thousand don't have power, and several buildings have cracks or have been damaged.  Luckily from what I read on the news no deaths have been reported related to it.

The Angel Moroni also supposedly dropped his trumpet/horn.  No idea if there was more damage to Temple Square or not (they should hurry up and earthquake proof it, probably should have done it sooner than later if this quake indicates anything).

Trains and such are not running and students who were to pick up homework and other items from schools were told not to come in several locations.

Airport is also closed and evacuated.  Not sure what that means in regards to damage at the airport.

It's a developing story is the only other thing I've found.

Apparently it is closed for "water damage".    I would presume that this means a water main or some pipes were broken.

What if we just thought it was a horn, but it was actually a mic?   Moroni be like, “end of the world, peeps” mic drop...

If so that could be really bad.  Most people in Utah don't have earthquake insurance and normal house insurance won't cover it.

I've heard that claim being disputed. Do you have a source?

As usual, random sourceless sensational claims on the internet fall to 10 seconds of googling.

Up next: I hear the WHO said coronavirus mutated and is now causing the dead to reanimate in South Korea.

Doing fine here. I think a couple picture frames broke.

The power was out at work until right after they called it a day and told everyone to go home - I had just stepped out the door when the lights and alarm came on/went off.

It sounds like my parents' house in the older part of West Valley, not far from Decker Lake, was damaged.

One of the cracks in my parents' house.  There are several of them.
