    Censorship?

I look forward to YouTube acting as aggressively against Chinese and Iranian interests, as they have against the Trumplings.

    Censorship?

Youtube announced the following 12/9/20: At what point does this stop, I mean honestly? They are going to remove differing opinions now? How about alien and bigfoot videos? Flat earth videos too? Differing religious videos? Where does it stop? One of the only books I remember reading in high school, hah: One can easily argue, "Hey, they are a private company and they can censor as they like". Well here is an alternative private video company for conservatives if needed: https://rumble.com/

    Forgiveness

This video suggests that there are different levels of forgiveness that one can give based on the level of remorse expressed by the person in need of forgiveness. My question is for any Christian, LDS or otherwise. Do you think the ideas about forgiveness in this video are compatible with the gospel of Jesus Christ and what He taught about forgiveness? Why or why not?

    Next Year Predictions

Who would have guessed this year at this time last year. So I wonder - what the best thinkers and prognosticators deduct based on current trends. I will start. Biden will be the next president. Signs of inflation will start to take place in the economy. Interest rates will rise - so will unemployment. Certain cities will become more dangerous and violent. - At least one federal elected official will be killed. There will be "talk" among several states of secession - all among party lines - beginning with Texas. The Traveler

    Censorship?

I look forward to YouTube being broken up and sold off, along with Facebook.

  6. I believe we live in a time similar to Nimrod and the Tower of Babel. Mostly from scripture we are led to believe that Nimrod intended to build a "way" to heaven. Josephus in his "Tradition of the Jews" indicated that Nimrod intended to build a high place that would save mankind from an additional flood. We know that in the last days that there will be a great deal of "trouble" come unto the world. The question is not how to avoid trouble but rather where we put our faith in time of trouble. Do we place our faith in that which is flesh and of this world or do we put our faith in spirit and that which is of G-d? I have always felt that if the brethren with the presiding keys are making bad decisions - I should take the matter up directly with them - not my parents, not other members, not the press, or not anyone else that was not involved in "the" decision. In the early history of our church Joseph Smith made a very bad decision to go a head with the Kirtland Safety Society. This brought about the greatest excuse for apostasy seen in the Last-days. Half of the Apostles, the two councilors of the First Presidency and most of the witnesses of the Book of Mormon "golden" plates fell into apostasy. I have a son that is struggling with all things divine. He served a mission, married in the temple, attended his meetings and read the scriptures daily. When his wife left him - he blamed G-d. He could not understand why things went wrong when he was doing everything right. He no longer keeps any of his covenants - including the Law of Chasity. He demands he is happier now than when we was loyal to his covenants. As I have discussed this with him - I have reminded him that great sailors are not made great sailing on calm seas - that the greater the storm the greater the faith that is needed to overcome and sail through the storm. Great sailors are made great by great storms. Having faith in leadership does not mean that they will not make mistakes - but faith is that G-d will assist them even in their mistakes. I have told the story from my youth of meeting with President Hugh B. Brown and having the privilege of asking him questions. I thought in my youthful intelligence that I could "catch" him with the following question: Do we support our bishop even if we know for sure that they are wrong? His answer was that we support our bishop - especially if he is wrong because he will need our support far more then; than when they are obviously right. I would add - supporting our leaders does not mean that we do what ever they tell us and never give any feed back. It means we sit in counsel with our leaders - in the same manner that when we pray to G-d we open our hearts and speak according to our understanding - and exercise faith that G-d will answer our prayers - but not always as we though our concerns ought to be ansered. Censorship?

It is difficult to grasp the mindspace you would have to be in to actively support censorship at such a large scale, while still thinking it is the moral high ground. As far as many of the tech giants pushing this forward being private companies, that is all good and well up until the point where they begin meddling with other peoples freedoms outside of the scope of running a simple social website. It could be argued that they are less company at that point and more of a political movement. Or both. I believe there is a definite attempt of Youtube and other major platforms to censor beyond the scope of their own "private company". Of course people can decline their offered services. It just would be an awful lot easier if there was less deceit and more clean cut truth as far as how they really operate, so people could make a well informed decision. I had not checked out Rumble yet! Will add that to the list. Have been looking for alternative platforms to support for a while. So far these three also look like they are having some success too: Parler, Slug, Bitchute.

    The election

So lets say a year in to the Biden Presidency the Courts Rule he is a fraud... What is your proposed solution to a "President by Fraud"? And how would such a finding/restorative action be less disruptive then delaying things a bit?

    The election

It was rumblings this morning, but now we have 17 states joining Texas. The following 17 states have signed the amicus brief: Missouri Alabama Arkansas Florida Indiana Kansas Louisiana Mississippi Montana Nebraska North Dakota Oklahoma South Carolina South Dakota Tennessee Utah West Virginia From what I've been hearing, this "is" the big dog attempt with the Supreme Court. Bless my state for being on the list!

    The election

The political swamp must be so incredibly intertwined. Everyone must have mounds of dirt on one another to sit and be silent like this. The MSM has totally been silent on the evidence presented during the hearings but SUPER excited to share any dismissal of a republican lawsuit. If there is any doubt that the MSM isn't absolutely actively involved in shaping the political narrative, then people haven't been paying attention, at all. I would happily accept a legal Trump win. I would begrudgingly accept a legal Biden win, ughhh. BUT... what I won't accept is either candidate using fraud to gain the win. There are too many people who have watched & read the evidence presented, we are not going to just wake up on Jan 20th to a Biden presidency and forget what we have seen. By blatantly ignoring the evidence and dismissing it as a "circus", those judges and politicians are the ones who have destroyed the confidence in America's election process for millions of Americans.

    Next Year Predictions

    1. Trump will serve a 2nd term, but not without some form of military intervention first, even it is just the threat of force. 2. Covid will have been slowed to almost a crawl, at which point China will release a 2nd virus. Having learned the world's weaknesses with Covid19, they will take active measures to push deeper into countries than ever before, with the primary objective of turning them against the USA. 3. "Certain cities will become more dangerous and violent. - At least one federal elected official will be killed." - agreed, in addition to at least two governors who were involved with harsh lock downs. 4. Small businesses that were crushed by the lock downs in 2020, will join lawsuits and drive certain cities into near bankruptcy. 5. The Church will have it's missionary force cut by 33%. Individuals will be less and less willing to serve missions realizing they will be stuck in lock downs from the 2nd Chinese virus. Oh... never mind, please disregard my thoughts above. I missed the "best thinkers" part. 😉 I'm really not that pessimistic, BUT if I'm right on any of the points above I'll be sure to quote myself towards the end of 2021 and claim prognosticator status!

  18. "Thus sayeth the Lord, the piano playing is too loud." That actually happened. I believe the pastor spoke with the individual afterwards, and indicated that she was 'in the flesh,' with that last word she gave. He did not discount that God had used her in the past, nor deny that she had spiritual gifts. This one was of personal opinion, rather than the Spirit, though. And...if he (the pastor telling her this) is wrong, then he will bare that responsibility before God. Okay...it's not an LDS example, but there are many similarities. Leaderships discerns a matter, and truly believes it has God's answer. Most of the time their spot on. God has spoken. Once in awhile errors are made. So...either the young man in the OP has many built up grievances, and this was the final one, or he's being rather judgy--something that particular generation loves to accuse us mature ones of. He may be right, but sometimes we can be so much so that we're still wrong.

  19. Have faith in the Lord and in your son. A testimony is not truly built or broken on one individual's statement -- even though they certainly can cause mega rough spots and flared tempers. Let time pass and trust the Lord. The Spirit has your son & family in hand. If you want to pray to feel that comfort & strengthen that faith, that is certainly a good idea. I know I've prayed "Master the tempest is raging" many times.
